ABC 2026 Conference Speakers

The 2026 ABC Conference will feature keynote speaker:

Professor Salma Abbasi, Founder, Chairperson and CEO of eWorldwide Group


Prof. Salma Abbasi is a technologist, philanthropist, and social activist, with a proven track record as a visionary leader with dynamic drive and positive energy. She motivates both professionals and the civil society. She is the Chairperson and CEO, eWorldwide Group, an international social enterprise focusing on global health, innovative ethical technologies, digital transformation for inclusive sustainable development and cyber-safety, working with Governments, development agencies, and private sector to achieve the SDGs and a sustainable future for all. A former Senior Vice President and Chief Quality Officer of Lucent Technologies, she has over 40 years of experience in the fields of technology, innovation, people-centric design and policy development.

 

Prof. Abbasi is a graduate of Civil Engineering (BSc) and Electrical Engineering (MSc) and has a PhD in Information Communication Technologies (ICT) for Development. This diverse engineering background has given Prof. Abbasi a unique foundation to innovatively resolve complex problems at both the strategic and tactical levels, in the public and private sectors around the world.

Additional speaker presentations will be  given on subjects of current interest, including insurance, law, governmental activity, and aviation and aerospace technology. In the past, speakers have included the CEO of Lloyd's, Administrators of the FAA, NASA Astronauts, United States District Court Judges, United States Legislators, as well as experts in the aerospace industry.  An important feature of this conference includes the participation of the program's lead underwriters, who are available for private consultations with insureds and potential insureds, together with their brokers.

Please Note:  We will be taking photographs at the conference, which may be used in ABC publications and/or on our website. Please let us know in writing if you do not wish to have your image in our publicity.  All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to ABC. Cancellations received by September 10, 2026 will receive a full refund. No refunds will be given after September 10, 2026. Individuals are responsible for cancellation of hotel and transportation reservations.

HOTEL ROOM RATES

City View -    $229 per night plus 13% tax per night

Bay View -    $279 per night plus 13% tax per night

Club Room - $329 per night plus 13% tax per night


HOTEL SERVICE FEE 

A daily Hotel Service Fee of $21 per room per night, exclusive of tax, will be added to each individual room rate. This service fee provides wireless high-speed internet in the guest rooms and meeting space.

The conference rate is only valid until September 2 OR until the contracted room block is filled which may occur earlier than September 2. Please book early for best availability. After this date, any unreserved rooms will be released into general hotel inventory for resale.


OPTIONAL ROOM NEEDS (subject to availability and communicated to Front Office)

Late Check Out:  $50 until 4:00 PM (+ tax)  /  $100 until 6:00 PM (+ tax)

Overnight regular vehicles $58++. 


CANCELLATION POLICY

Each reservation requires a one-night non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. You may cancel your reservation 72 hours before arrival without further penalty.


HOTEL RESERVATIONS

Please book your hotel room via the link below.  If you are unable to book your hotel via the link, you may also reserve your room by calling +1 (800) 327-3005  or +1 (305) 577-1000 and reference the Aircraft Builders Council Conference to receive the group rate.  Hotel rooms, outside of the contracted room block dates, may be available but at higher rates. Please call the hotel for assistance if you need to book a room for an extended stay.  Check-in time is 3:00 PM and Check-out time is Noon.

ABC 2026 Conference Transportation

Ground  Transportation to/from Airport

The conference hotel recommends rideshare services such as Uber or Lyft, which averages about $16 from the Miami International Airport (MIA) to the hotel and estimated $35 from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). Exit your terminal on the lower arrivals level, and follow signs for "Rideshare/Uber".  Use rideshare mobile apps to confirm your specific pickup spot (often near baggage claim doors), and meet your driver there.


Alternatively, allow the hotel concierge to assist in arranging private airport transfers. Please call (305) 577-1000 for further information. 


Uber, Lyft and local taxis are also available from the hotel.
