The tour will take place at the FM Global research campus facility in Chepachet, RI, approximately 70 miles (90 minutes) from the Omni Boston Hotel. There is no cost to attend the tour and transportation will be provided. Tour participants will be picked up at the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport at approximately 8:30 AM, the tour will be held from 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM including lunch, and attendees will be returned to the hotel by 3:00 PM.

Fire, explosion, hurricane-force winds, and vibrations matching earthquake intensity are all in a day’s work at the FM Global Research Campus—the world’s premier center devoted to preventing physical threats from turning into real-life catastrophes. The research conducted here helps clients and partners prepare and protect their facilities before disaster strikes. Each state-of-the-art laboratory focuses on a specific hazard—fire technology, natural hazards, electrical hazards and hydraulics. Your visit to this unique facility will be an unforgettable experience. Not only will you gain a deep and hands-on understanding of real-life industrial risks—in a safe and controlled environment—but you will get a chance to see behind the scenes at the only facility of its type and scale.

The tour is limited to 70 participants and ABC attendees’ guests/spouses are invited and should also register for the tour. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required.

Tour registration details will be sent to the ABC conference attendees.  If you plan to attend, remember to extend your hotel dates and flights to accommodate this Wednesday event. Additional hotel night(s) and any related travel costs, outside of the tour transportation, are the responsibility of the tour participants.
