Ed Nicholls is the Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Aviation Practice Group at Aon Risk Solutions. He currently manages Aon’s New York and Northeast region.
Ed has over 40 years of experience in the aviation insurance brokerage industry. He has many specialties including aircraft products and space launch and liability insurance. In addition to management positions, Ed has held senior positions with major aviation clients his entire career.
Ed has been a broker member of ABC for over 25 years. He has also served as the U.S. Broker Representative numerous times over the past two decades and most recently from 2012 to 2014.
Ed has been invaluable to ABC as demonstrated during a particularly trying time in the market, Ed was the one who found a source to place the remaining percentages of the lineslip.
In addition, Ed has worked with ABC to improve the Aviation Products Recall insurance policy.
Ed has always been a tremendous supporter of the ABC program and we have appreciated his insights and dedication throughout the years.
Gary Fitzpatrick is the Managing Partner of Fitzpatrick & Hunt, Pagano, Aubert and has been the lead counsel for the ABC Program since 1985.
Gary has provided sound advice, wise counsel and guidance to the ABC Program, and has defended insureds through some of the most significant aviation cases in the United States.
Gary was part of the defense team that spearheaded the development of the Government Contractors’ Defense, the legal defense which has protected insureds and their underwriters in hundreds of cases, and that is still used by courts today.
In addition, Gary has worked with many clients, underwriters and brokers to proactively reduce the exposure of ABC insureds by presenting informative Product Integrity seminars on how to reduce legal exposure.
Gary has also spearheaded the ABC conference committee for over 25 years; helping to select the highest caliber of speakers for us to enjoy.
He has been a perfect ambassador of the ABC Program and we are thankful to have him on our team.
