2020 Recognition Award
ABC honored Alison Wynne and Katie Hedican during the recent 2020 Virtual Seminar.
Thanks are due to Alison and Katie for their diligence and continuing support for this well-regarded Aircraft Builders Council product, which has brought additional insureds to the ABC family.
Alison is the Practice Leader in the Aviation Division of Brown & Brown. Prior to joining the Brown & Brown team, she was an aviation insurance broker for Hays Companies. Hays became a member of the Brown & Brown family in 2018. Alison has been instrumental in the development of the Aircraft Builders Council U.S. Portal since inception and ensuring the continuation of one of the three ABC facilities available to brokers and insureds. Her experience in the industry includes the placement and servicing of insurance for airlines, corporate flight departments, aviation products liability, EMS operations, charter operators, fixed based operators, airports, flight schools, aerial applicator, commercial rotor wing and governmental entities. Alison is an active Instrument Rated Private Pilot, currently serves on the Brokers Committee for the Aircraft Builders Council, and was voted by a group of her peers as 2021 President of the Minnesota Business Aviation Association (MBAA).
Katie joined Hays in 2014 and currently holds a Certified Insurance Service Representative designation and is the supervisor for the Hays Core services team. Katie is a part of the Casualty Marketing Service team for the Hays Minneapolis office. Katie services Middle Market and Risk Management clientele. Her responsibilities include all aspects of program implementation, including day-to-day servicing and general account administration such as audit review/analysis, budget/premium allocations, policy reviews, invoicing, endorsement processing & marketing support functions. Katie has served a large range of industries including, but not limited to airlines, corporate flight departments, aviation products liability, EMS operations, charter operators, fixed based operators, airports, flight schools, aerial applicator, commercial rotor wing and governmental entities. Katie also handles the current book of business for all drone accounts. Katie’s technical and administration expertise with the Aircraft Builders Council U.S. Portal has enabled speedier quotes with many applications, becoming firm orders and thereafter renewals. Katie is also an active member of the Minnesota Business Aviation Association (MBAA).
